Again!!! MR LOVE - shifted ground outwards near the 200m checking LOVE N THE PORT which had to be restrained. Driver B Hope admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Hope's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 10 October 2024 (6 days).

In the misconduct case this is surely not on from the Chair. Mere speculation on his part? "Chair: He needs to be very careful that man. I know he has got it in for the RIB, he needn’t make it so obvious or he’ll be in trouble."

Here we go again. Always blaming those who have gone before you, but notwithstanding all the promises, haven’t improved a single thing. Every single indicator since National has been in charge (nearly a year) is grossly worse.

It seems to be an outstanding result but I guess it’s still to play out in the courts. They are (the courts) are certainly going to be busy as are the prisons. Hopefully they are extending a few as they are going to need them.

Up here, we don't have 2-y-o races until the middle to end of March. The foaling season is January to May so it's entirely possible (and often happens) a horse can run on a racecourse before its second biological birthday. The first turf 2-y-o race in Britain was the Brocklesby Stakes run at Doncaster on March 23rd. The winner, ZMINIATURE, was foaled on January 30th 2022. The second and third were foaled on the 17th and 13th March 2022 respectively. The horse finishing last, SUNNY TIME, was foaled on 4th April 2022 One of the leading 2-y-o fillies, BEDTIME STORY, was foaled on 5th May 2022. There was a brief debate about running some earlier juvenile events on the synthetic surfaces in February but that was soon rejected. We do have the synthetic surfaces and juvenile maidens are run on those from late March onwards and as an alternative to running very young and inexperienced horses on heavy ot soft turf they are popular with trainers as they are with the late maturing types so nurseries and maidens on the synthetic surfaces get plenty of support in October, November and December. Far be it from me to champion the synthetic surfaces with you but I think there is a niche for running early and late 2-y-o races on these surfaces as distinct from Heavy 10 turf and perhaps that's an avenue NZTR should be exploring in addition to all the trials and jumpouts you hold (which we don't in the UK but Ireland has barrier trials on the Polytrack at Dundalk)

Read Mark Jones view. He may not be so enamoured with this stupid new rule when he gets fined. It maybe in contravention of human rights which would supercede rules of harness Racing . would have thought if such a major "problem"existed a simple request to all drivers would suffice. The rule book was getting out of hand 30 years ago and it was cut down but now it has expanded to a major volume again .If image (not substance)is the concern then tell us all and lets move on. (and Mark seems to indicate us owners and punters that are the source of his income dont know what happens on raceday because we are not drivers. I have been watching harness racing for the last 62 years and do understand what is discussed. Abuse of young less experienced drivers did sometimes happen from senior drivers but much less these days. -
You mean who is Gookson? Or who's Gookson? Whose Gookson is like asking whose Gucci handbag is that?' Seriously though, Gookson is a good name 🤣 i didn't hear any of his calls, but it appears the 24 hour postponement meant Aaron wasn't on course until R4, so Gookson called the first 3 races, I'm assuming from the studio.

Police in great form and the police commissioner was given a 2nd chance , results demanded and results produced . New details about the investigation were released by police today and also revealed the gang was raising money so its members could undergo "military-styled training" by a trainer brought into the country. It followed a huge gang bust last month that saw every patched member of the Comancheros Christchurch chapter arrested. Police Commissioner Andrew Coster said today the investigation led to a total of 137 charges being laid against the gang's members and associates. Those charged were made up of 17 "office" holders, 10 patched members and 14 prospects of the gang. Across the three years, police seized 206kg of methamphetamine, which was estimated to cause $215,913.00 million in social harm if it got into the community. Investigators also seized 1.76kg of cocaine, equating to $657,500 in social harm. Alongside the hard drugs, police also seized 2.5kg of cannabis, 15 guns, 1184 rounds of ammunition, five properties, 14 vehicles (including motorbikes), 41 Comanchero patches, $1.275 million in cash, and more than 250 electronic devices. A total of $9.2 million in assets were also restrained. -

Whatever you build the foundation must be good , labour damaged the foundation of this country that's what must be fixed first , finance , hospitals , police , rising crime , inflation , race relations , education , etc etc they played with the lot for no good reason , all ideology , they deserve to be blamed . -

Israel didn't start this round of fighting that's a fact . Now you must admit the hand held device was tactic was brilliant only the Iranian backed Hezbollah held these devices and no doubt the attacks Hezbollah has endured will have dented any confidence they may have had . What do you expect Israel do ??? , doing nothing guarantees the death of many Jews and the total destruction of Israel , wiped off the map where are the surviving Jews supposed to go they have been there for 4000 years . -
