Millions of Americans say “Do we have to… ? “ 😆

Exactly the same could be said about NZ , but the rhetoric about how a National Govt would correct it was just as bad as Trump .

Another moron who can’t read, or spell apparently. His 20-60% tariffs on imports sure as hell won’t help our exports, or many others probably. His last lot cost them millions in subsidies for farmers. There was nothing wrong with the economy, it was just the perception out there that it was bad…and ignorance of how global economies work. — Donald Trump’s decisive election victory was about many things: a global rejection of incumbents, a rise in the Republican electorate and a battle for the future of America’s democracy. But voters consistently and repeatedly said issue No. 1 this election was the economy. That explains a lot about why Trump was reelected. By several major metrics, the US economy is on fire, the envy of the rest of the world. But Americans still viewed it unfavorably, and a significant number of voters blame President Joe Biden and Trump’s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, for failing to make enough improvements to Americans’ financial situations over the past four years. Poll after poll suggested that Americans hold largely negative views about the US economy. That’s because economic sentiment doesn’t always match up nicely with data that shows the economy is adding jobs, consumer spending is growing and gross domestic product — the broadest measure of the economy — continues to boom. When you pay through the nose for a cup of coffee or when you can’t afford to buy a home, those data are meaningless: You feel shut out of the American Dream.

Hokey , Please stop repeating BS . TOTAL IGNORANCE OF GLOBAL ECONOMEYS , this was the USA election not a global event , the USA is clinging on by it's fingers to stay top of the heap all Trump want's to do is make sure it stays top. The only measure that's flying in the USA is the share market which has very little to do with the average working American. Wars, Trumps record on that is impeccable last time around he called the bombers back when he thought it was an over reaction . Tariffs , the dems left his previous tariffs in place and new ones which there might be plenty will be refunded to the population via tax cuts effectively zero rated for Americans . Project 25 , nothing to do with Trump, you are listening to more dem BS . And if you really want to know what helped Trump retain his popularity and win it was the regular persecution by the courts far to many Americans realize this was a straight out political vendetta using the justice system to destroy an opponent , it kept the focus on Trump and highlighted injustice . Don't know if Trump is good for NZ or not but he will be for the USA . -
I'm sure your generosity will be acknowledged when they send your Xmas card😀

Just listening to Harris on ZB says nothing of any use and that's it, America's Jacinda. Started out for a few days a month or two back looking OK but over time lack of substance, so what alternative did US have? We in NZ are fortunate we have sea around us, unlike US who border Mexico, bunch of criminals, not all of course but this is the biggest issue in the US, And irrespective of the polls like it or not more agree with him than let on and overlook all his failings.. I wonder one day if NZ will get someone to drain our swamp, NZ is definitely not the country it use to be, most of our issues though are within.

In today's more sensitive environment you have to stop short of using the 'R' word. But they are a bunch of R...s. I could not place trifectas or first 4 either. Donated $320 to Bet365 instead. -
This was just one of many sad responses to the election today. Feel for them…..😔

No choice really Gruffy, she was the VP so had to be. Tough ask with only three months to go, Biden should have gone much sooner. Throwing off the Biden connection in that time was just too much, even allowing for the economy ignorance out there. The female vote was overstated and the blue collar men came out to support Trump bigtime. Whether that was smart we’ll have to wait and see. “An immigrant, coloured woman as Predident ? “ Hell no……🙈

Anyone who backed that overrated nag Vauban, or a Fastnet Rock horse, deserves little sympathy for their stupidity. But I digress…. A pretty comprehensive win by the orange felon….72m morons can’t be wrong can they ? Apart from their total ignorance of how global economies work, and whining about how much more expensive things are these days, despite the economy going great by all measures, most of which are over their heads. One idiot voted for Trump because he said he would reduce tax on overtime. That’s it. Never voted for him before or in previous elections. Democracy, Immigration, abortion not important then… ? Wars, conflicts, supply chain problems, increased production, manufacturing and import costs…..who did they think would pay in the end ? Wait until Trump imposes his tariffs and taxes, and no doubt gets into further conflicts with partners and foes alike. Let’s see how rosy things are then. Project 2025 in the wings, RFK Jnr getting a Health Dept post, a halfwit for a VP, Republicans have the Senate and the House so look out.. America will be a very different place in 4 years if things play out as expected. They deserve everything they get.
