He is new here and is rubbing me and a few others up the wrong way mate as you saw in another thread. He keeps this up you wont have to worry about him for long, the site is not a place for trouble making types we have been down that road before and aint going down it again -
I agree with that , BUT . Goes both ways , and they seem to be pissing a lot of people off .

Mate , what's with the aggressive tone , "even if" , I didn't say it for fun , I have 2 presently and just retired another recently , so I know what my accts look like ,. the winning stake today would have covered about 5 weeks for my good horse simply because he needs a lot of specialist treatment , as many good horses do , but I'm more than happy to pay as the returns make it worth while .Hard if you are a regular at the bottom end , but every win is great as an owner . How to make friends and influence people .

Times are very tough, that's true...the Coalition government didnt' make the mess but have the daunting task of fixing it...and there has to be a lot pf pain and the price has to be paid for all the stupid economic mismanagement by Labour (esp their second term). As usual it will be 'middle NZ' that pays the most - the Mum and Dad businesses, and wage'salary earners already struggling to make ends meet. But given time things are likely to improve significantly within a year IF domestic inflation stays under control, IF interest rates keep tracking down and IF we can pick up productivity -exports/tourism esp - and attract investment, gey cracking on infrastructure projects that have been mucked about by politics/bureaucracy. Everything the Coalition is doing along these lines will assist this recovery.

Everyone needs to remember that no one voted for National and their partners. People voted to get rid of the previous lot. The same thing happened in the UK. People didn't vote for labour, they voted to get rid of the Tories. And in the USA people are voting against Trump rather than voting for Kamala. Seems to be the way of the world at the moment. There is still a hard core of voters in NZ who remember how bad the previous lot were, so National does get a lot of leeway. The Government's biggest problem image wise is the distasteful impression given by the ex gun lobbyist and tobacco lobbyist who both make the Govt look quite corrupt. If Luxon can get those two to pull their heads in and stop creating bad press they could easily survive. National just has to get over their inbuilt arrogance and try to appear slightly more competent than the last lot to get a second term. It should also be remembered that the opposition are not strong, with no charismatic leaders. So to be honest, a reasonably lightweight Govt has never had a better opportunity really. -

Which even if your statement was anywhere near accurate would be 6-7 weeks more than nearly all trainers that had horses that went around today. -
I have to say that I can't recall a government that has pissed off so many groups of people , would be interesting to know how many people now unhappy with something they are doing actually voted for any of the 3 stooges .

My opinion hasn't changed about a one term Government. These are the toughest times that I can remember for those in business and the unemployed. Who is preferred is irrelevant, although I wouldn't have Chris Hipkins either.

Scratchings - any scratchings (regular or late) can be replaced up until the posting deadline. After that you will get the sub, or the 2nd or 3rd win favourite if you already have the others. if there are equal 2nd or 3rd favourites on the tote the one with the lower saddlecloth number will be deemed as the more favoured. Abandoned races - we need 5 races to be run for the results of the round to stand. If races are abandoned before the posting deadline you can change a best bet race, but after the posting deadline that is just the rub of the green. -
The ever-alert Max has noticed a winner at Cambridge today called Legally Binding. It's sibling Ravenclaw goes round at Canterbury shortly in the hands of one J Mac, who's ridden a mere 4 winners from 4 rides already today ...surely he couldn't, could he? Max had better get on, just in case.

Back to picking winners this week and it's pretty simple: 1. Pick three horses in each of the 10 races listed below - in each race you will have $5 each way on all three picks, a $2 boxed quinella and a $1 boxed trifecta. 2. You will have two best bet races where your bet is doubled. They can be any two of the 10 races listed below. Posting deadline this week is 1.00pm. This weeks 10 races are as follows. 1. Caulfield R1 2. Caulfield R6 3. Caulfield R7 4. Caulfield R8 5. Caulfield R9 6. Randwick R4 7. Randwick R5 8. Randwick R6 9. Randwick R7 10. Randwick R8 Please enter horse numbers, with some form of punctuation (eg. / ) between each number, and don't forget to mark your two best bet races. -
