Poor rider looked like he got left behind, mind you he may have under estimated the lengh of the riccarton straight, certainly let class get out to a healthy lead, pushed the go button to early.
WIll open a can of worms here but this annoys me. What is the common densometer here in these horses?

Oh I didn't realize that I wasnt watching Mounga I was just watching the leaders . Mark H he reminds me of Mango . I stopped backing him because he used to piss me off . Every time I backed him he would be sitting last , take off with a round to go , attack and try and get the lead and stop in the home straight .Maybe Mark is a distant relative of Mango's lol
The Riccarton starting crew are shocking ,and have been for some time .You would think that protocols would be in place for most circumstances ..Perhaps the Starter could confirm all riders are ready before he screams CLEAR !! as he presses the button ..dont see how or what is supposed to be achieved by screaming 'clear' ..
Yes when your young is the key, I know someone no so young that clipped the top of the hurdle and broke a leg, ouch, just returned from the outing, can't say I've missed riccarton, 40$ with race book to get, blowing its guts out, and watched races from the monitor, was good racing, decent crowd and hot chips were good, 50$ taxi ride back abit steep, did enjoy my day all the same, didn't manage a collect but that's not new to me, must admit the smaller country tracks meetings can't be beaten, the action so close and the atmosphere always great.
