I would add Marketplace to the "top class" ranking. Other than that, bang on. The North Island horses just weren't competitive on the day. As mentioned by somebody else, difficult to get rock hard fit in fields the size we see week in, week out, at Alexandra Park. 2-wide and 3-back is about as far off the lead they ever get. They arrive at Addington and it's like, "where did all these horses come from?" -

WELLINGTON BEST BET: R8 BELLADONNA TILY Nice field with likely favorite runner drawn inside. Got back last run, and flew, but can sit handy and fighting on. Will surprise some here. EACHWAY: R1 RICOCHET Never stops fighting to the line, which is a huge asset, would be nice to see on top of the ground, never quite looked comfortable in S7? EW WATCH: R2 WINGMAN Sitting 3rd line now. There was plenty of merit in last run for third. Missed jump, pushed 4 wide when improving and steadied and ran on well, overall very nice run. EW. RATING SPECIALS BY RACE: (WELLINGTON) R3 OMEG0 BOY 3 Kgs off. This is a tidy little field, but if handles the track condition, can take some of this. R4 RUFFHOUSE ROSIE Fitter for the two runs in. Looks to be close to winning form. EW R5 LAZIO Shooting for another win here, can and should, but won’t be as easy as it has been. EW R6 CHEVAL DE FOUDRE Another tidy line up with many chances, in form and can carry on the winning way. EW RACE 7 THE UNDERBELLY Drawn a little wide, winner second up, happy to stay with. -

I’ve just looked at the fields for Cup Day Riccarton. 11 Races. These have to be the “fullest” put together on a raceday this year. ARE THEY? I’ll guarantee you one thing; neither Wellington or Auckland will have numbers like them on their Cup Days in 2025! -

Looking at the results of the Cup Carnival where the European Bred wins were pathetic, why would you bother. Once again horses with the NZ suffix, percentage wise, out performed everyone else.

You may be more savvy in some domains Uriah, but certainly not in maths. The critical comparison is that Trump's vote remained basically the same but the Dems lost 10 million--and those were fake ballots in 2020 that ended up in drop boxes and behind curtains under trestle tables in places such as Fulton County.
