Poor commentator at Acot made a horrible blunder in the G1 Railway Stakes calling the wrong horse home.
The winner was Port Lockroy but the commentator kept calling him Socks Nation who was unplaced.
I just checked. Pukekohe was a Soft 5 for R3 when RTC raced and won. Was not upgraded until after R4.
As for the horse, I'd assume Blake Shinn's impression would be pretty accurate.
Mr W Pinn certainly rode it better than l could have 🤣
Ess Vee Are didn't race riderless as per the story, did he?

It's actually my favourite track. Not because I do that well there - I just think it's very fair on a good surface.
I did laugh when the presenters were going on about how it was off on the inside and then Lux Libertas nearly stole its race coming through there.
Couple of horses I backed that looked like winners and just got nutted.
They'll keep.
Pretty sure thats what I seen on the quick glimpse i had earlier. Like you I sadly dont watch a lot of harness on Saturdays, mostly Friday night lights and grass Sundays if anything.
Cheers Blaird. It's been a long time between Quaddie drinks for me. Leg 4 has generally been my bogey leg, and I thought it was again today. For quite sometime as it turned out 🤣
Nice one Idolmite, great to see someone get a nice result. As usual I had 3 of the winners and a second in the quaddie. At least I backed Aladdin Sane so some consolation.
You're joking!! Did he? Did he really?
I didn't even look at the harness fields today, being a good Pukekohe race day/Counties Cup et al galloping day (having been schooled there).
Sheesh Im not a big follower of the harness RC thread but why didnt someone tell me the Whale was back and giving out oil! I just had a look and he dished 3 winners at Timaru today. 50:1 odds for anyone who took the time to multi them instead of bitching about them.
Will review the week that was later on for those following on from home.
I had Aladdin Sane in the last leg of the Quaddie, and was hoping it was his nose poking through, but as you say, no result on Trackside [would have been the best photo of the day] and, to be fair, it took a long time to come through online too. Due to the lack of commentary around all of the commentary at the track and on TV being incorrect, l assumed l missed the Quaddie. Was very surprised to eventually see Aladdin Sane up as the winner. Must have just had its nose out at the exact right moment. But the Trackside coverage was pathetic. Missed a moment to show how exciting and tense racing can be. PATHETIC l tell ya!!!
Still waiting to be given the result of the last at Pukekohe on Trackside..Went directly to Wanganui ,then Kembla ,Still no result yet..Crossed back to the track with BP and Leaf ,but nah ,no result given.
To most peoples eye it looked like Sihnaman ,with Aladdin Sane lunging ..but no photo ,no voice over ,no result ..Guess we will have to read it in the Sunday News tomorrow ..oh wait.
The racing certainly lived up to the quality and quantity.
I was thrilled to see that they could come from anywhere.
Generally the best horse won from what I could see.
