Let me remind you that in 1840 Iwi gifted 3,000 acres of Central Auckland land to the crown. Chances are that Seymour, Luxon and Peters know live on that land. When you take into account that Ellerslie sold The Hill for approx. $160M and calculate over 3,000 acres this come to $31Billion in today's terms. Waitangi tribunal's payouts are about $2 Billion which is petty cash in relation to the true value of the land that was taken. Iwi has been very generous over the years donating land and they lost a massive amount of land in the second world war under the Public Works Act. Ohoka you are from Kapiti, well they took the Paraparaumu Airport and this has yet to given back or compensated for and if and when they do I doubt if they will get anywhere true value. Bastion Point was taken under The Act and Muldoon had protestors arrested when they wanted their land back. I could go indefinitely but what it boils down to with you and some others on here is that you are a "Māori Hater" as simple as that but of course the problem with and your ilk is that you will never admit it.

Doesn't that only apply to OZ Metro racing, not non-metro or NZ racing which is what I was talking about? -

There's actually an interesting phenomenon with ChatGPT and the word "delve". The AI would use the word considerably more often than the average western English speaker (and use of the word grew massively in academic journals, perhaps pointing to academics using AI to write their work) to the point that everyone noticed and wondered what was going on. It turns out that in Africa (particularly Nigeria) the word "delve" is pretty common. And because English-speaking Africans were being used to train the AI (because it was cheaper than hiring Westerners) the AI had an African-English tilt to it. That said, what a minor thing to care about. If the AI constantly said "sticks" instead someone would get upset about that. I'm personally loving the runner comments since the revamp of the website, because of the in-depth descriptions of the past two runs. -

Minimum Bet Limits are in place in Australia, so all Australian bookies offer that on Australian racing. The amount and conditions (does the limit kick in after scratchings or when fields are first put up?) varies depending on the state and the code and grade of racing. There's also a few dozen different bookies over there who have to play by the rules so you can gets set to win five figures even if you're a winning punter. The laws came in as a result of bookies spending millions on advertising to attract customers and then banning the ones who looked like they had a clue while only keeping the losers. AFAIK there's no MBL for Australian operators taking bets on NZ racing. NZ authorities don't seem interested in making NZ racing more attractive for Australian punters; in fact they seem to make things even more insular (not pushing for an end to Australia's geoblocking of the NZTAB, wanting geoblocking of Kiwis so we can only punt with the local monopoly). https://www.championbets.com.au/news-article/minimum-bet-limits-state -
By Chance JJ he got one home and great to see .

Agree 100%. It all started out great, but it is certainly now heading in another direction! Example, I learned from another Cafer last week that I won’t be offered the deposit match (or % match) irrespective of how long I wait 🤷🏻♀️ Liz

Just "By Chance" I hope this time Mr Hurrell proves your wrong 😜

I think no deductions is the best idea the TAB has ever come up with . They should dump bonus bets and cash and some of the other stupid options they have and keep this one
-
The opppsite appeared to happen when no deductions was first introduced. It was what made them competitive vs aussie books. Not allowing geoblocking will keep their book accountable and consistent with the market.

Does anyone know if it got settled, from my calculations 12 working days has now lapsed? -
Max was fascinated to learn today of the Debbie Ngarewa-Packer i/v (Jack Tame) nonsense, asserting that as a Maori she has "more obligations" than non-Maori New Zealanders. Would love to know specifically what those "more obligations" consist of. The more 'middle New Zealand' indulge this garbage the more emboldened the radical left will get. IMO Seymour/ACT has every right to table the Treaty Principles Bill in Parliament - the highest court in our land - for open, robust, considered discussion and decision-making via due legislative process. It may or may not ever get to public referendum. It is the same 'quirk of MMP' entitling ACT to table such ideas (even if that means a perception by opponents of 'undue influence") as TPM have to oppose it. That's the system we voted in via public referendum in the 1990s. The same quirk allows the new Green MP (Doyle) to be given time on the House asserting his points of view. But when any party no longer abides by the rules of debate and protocol in the House, action needs to be taken to keep behaviour from getting further out of hand. Come in, Mr Speaker. Is threatening/intimidating behaviour allowed inside the House? Ms Genter didnt get away with it, so ...

Eva Magical (Te Aroha) ...what? .This word 'atop' must be in their algorithm cos its sooooo overused in comments ...do we expect the rider to be anywhere either than 'atop'? S'pose if he falls off he'd be somewhere else ... how about "Trial winning rider sticks/stays." "Trial winning rider up/on/aboard." Trial winning rider stays atop.

I am thinking of backing a possible boilover Buckskin in the main pace . Glad Carter is getting another chance to drive him again , was a right nightmare what happened to him last time , a race Carter would want to forget . Its a very strong field but he goes well on the grass
