This comp is not for the faint hearted and will take a bit of work to compile your selections, but die hard sports fans should enjoy it. You have to pick the winners of the various races and sporting events (listed below) that will take place across 2025. 1 point for each correct selection - most points wins. Please note this rule in particular - you can't pick the same horse, person or team more than once. For examples, you can't pick Scottie Scheffler to win all four of the golf majors - you have to pick a different player in each event, you can't pick Liverpool to win the quadruple, you can't pick Via Sistina to win more than one of the big WFA races. The one exception to this rule is that you can pick a US sports team to win their conference league and also to win the championship (Superbowl, World Series, NBA finals, Stanley Cup). If you wish you can pick a championship winner that is different to your two league/conference winners. For the avoidance of doubt the sports events listed below are all the mens versions of these events. This may seem a little bit unbalanced but I'm just going with the most popular sporting events. The horse racing events are all gallops events. The easiest way to post your entry is to highlight and copy the events listed below, paste it into a new post and add your selections beside each event. Entries close: Sunday 5 January, 7.00pm (giving you enough time to complete your entry but closing before a few of the earlier events) GALLOPS Telegraph Wellington Cup Karaka Million 2yo Karaka Million 3yo The NZB Kiwi (slot race) NZ Derby NZ Oaks Auckland Cup Bonecrusher NZ Stakes AJC Derby Golden Slipper Doncaster Handicap Queen Elizabeth Stakes Stradbroke NZ Jockey Premiership 24/25 winner Grand National (Aintree) - winner's saddlecloth number Caulfield Cup Cox Plate Melbourne Cup Everest US SPORTS NFL - AFC winner NFL - NFC winner Superbowl winner MLB - AL winner MLB - NL winner World Series winner NBA - Eastern Conference winner NBA - Western Conference winner NBA winner NHL - Eastern Conference winner NHL - Western Conference winner Stanley Cup winner FOOTBALL A League winner English Premier league winner English League Championship winner Carabao Cup winner FA Cup winner Champions League winner TENNIS MAJOR winners (men) Australian Open French Open Wimbledon US Open GOLF MAJOR winners (men) Masters PGA Championship US Open British Open RUGBY Super 15 winner RUGBY LEAGUE NRL winner CYCLING Tour de France winner MOTOR RACING Grand Prix - drivers championship winner Grand Prix - constructors championship winner Indianapolis 500 winner -

Hi Pondy, thanks for the “heads up” but my phone doesn’t show three vertical dots. I mush have added the RC site to my phone a different way. I have attached a screenshot to show you what I see. P.S. You might have to reduce it or slide it down to see the top right hand corner.

Will he get Jimmy Carter around without breaking, big chance if he does. Dangers would be Andy Hall and Maui. Connections had Jimmy Carter nominated for the Dominion however Maui got the spot despite being rated lower than Jimmy Carter. Remember Jimmy Carter downed Smoking Bandar in a Southland feature almost a year ago.

Hey Liz, Just in case you want/need to in future... when you're out and about on your phone on the site, if you click the 3 vertical dots up the top right it will bring up another "menu". If you tick the "Desktop site" then it will show up as if you're on your computer at home albeit the fonts a bit smaller which you'll probably need to make bigger to make it easier to read.. -
Thanks came up when I turned iPad on side view.

To Seddon - the personal message envelope is up by your name -

Hi Seddon, if you are using your computer, there should be a little envelope up near the top right hand side of the page. It should have a “1” or a tick beside it to indicate that you have a message. I am out and about at the moment so ‘that is from memory’ plus it doesn’t show on my phone. Maybe that is the problem for you too. Please post again if still no joy.

Between today and 6 January there are six central district meetings not counting Taupo which will no doubt attract central district horses. Tauherenikau will race on 2 January in front of a massive crowd for paltry stakes and the Marton Meeting raced at Trentham on 4 January will race for very good prize money in front of a very small crowd. The Marton Club (going off their AGM list) has only 26 members plus the committee. Something is horribly wrong

Taking advantage of a leisurely early pace, Windy Walk had just enough left to hold off grade 1 winners Power Squeeze and Soul of an Angel and score a 14-1 upset in the Dec. 26 Rampart Stakes at Gulfstream Park.View the full article -
Possibly not the greatest card of horse racing we’ll ever see at Taranaki this afternoon. Unless I’ve miscounted, the first six races currently have a total of 36 runners which is what you often see at American Dirt meetings 50 miles west of the Backofbeyond. Anyway, could be a chance to up the winning tally in the maidens so a few unoriginal choices: 12.49: DERRYMAN 1.24: PINK GIN 1.59: BRIGIT 2.34: BORNINASTOR, 3.09: ONE BOLD GIGOLO 3.44: SAKURA DANCER
