Poetically put. Having said that how, on God's earth, do we plan to extricate ourselves from such bullshit?? Or do we continue to wallow in the shit?

Yes, of course always the mobile, or a Lamb-style run/jog start would suit him. Could he win at Omakau? -
I had previously singled out my POST OF THE YEAR, but Voice of Reason, this post of yours usurps it well and truly. So well worded, no bullshit, simply pointing out the mess that the idiots have got us into.

Seems the whips are cracking on both sides of the argument. No clear winner just depend on whether you are wearing Murphy blinds or blinkers. -
Kerang in Victoria (289km from Melbourne) ran maiden races for $27,000 today. We must be the laughing stock of all racing countries for our pitiful minimum stakes.

Should have been an apostrophe after the word trainers ,,,,, I wasn't meaning the trainers were whinging , you were whinging , trainers are the decision makers and made decisions what suited themselves . -

What's Ciaron Maher at the "moment"? Or Waller? Don't tell me you invested to make money? -

Gee. I said the NZTR cheerleaders would come on and say well why did the trainers start there. But I really didn't expect such a pathetic response. As to the whinging trainers. If you read what I said again, a bit more carefully this time, you will see that was the whole point of my comment. None of them have complained. They just accept what is put in front of them. Most people on here understand my posts, even if they don't always agree with them. I will use shorter words next time to try and make my message a bit clearer. -

At the moment isn' t very quantitative is it. 3 wins today in this "moment". -
Is it because the Trainers Association go on the theory 'silence is golden' or because no one takes any notice of them when they do speak??? Racing industry is galloping towards destruction - led by leaders who wouldn't know if a bus was up them - unless, of course, someone rang the bell to get off. Of course the PR blurb will tell you different.

Geez why all the whinging trainers chose to start in this race , completely irrelevant where the trainer started them last time any decision was the trainers , they could have stayed at home they chose not to and of course the winner could have stayed in the North it didn't and they knew what was coming up. As for the rest of them have been lucky enough to try for better money even though they seem to be very very average horses, this all comes down to where the trainer see how and where to place a horse with the future in mind . Just for good measure look at the field again most would struggle to win a 65 again . -

absolutely right ,and well said . Then there is the bullshit slot race which is effectively the rich getting richer ..a swinging dick competition...On to the Otaki Group 1 race being run at Ellerslie in Feburary ,I dont know what to say about that ,it is so ridiculous ...On to the momentous day in March when all of the ATR major races are raced on the same day ,leaving nothing for the other dates ..too bad if it pisses down on that day aye..to hell with tradition and history ...I realise this post was relating to the south but it is symptomatic of the lack of pattern in scheduling by so called experts -
Here are some more facts and figures. DCE bought and syndicated 27 horses costing approx. $10m from Karaka book one 2022 to bolster the Te Akau 2yo and 3yo stock by now. Add about another 3.5m to that in training fees insurance etc. over the next two years. To date those horses have won approx. $550k gross less percentages with 40% of that amount by one horse (Damask Rose). The $1m sales topper is retired unraced. Ugly numbers. Many of the best Te Akau horses have cost less than $200k which is where Wexford seem to focus with less risk and better returns. I know who I would rather buy a horse from.
