That used to be me.
But then I got sick of the changing array of rooms/levels you could or could not go to, the general Ellerslie fking around with tickets and, bizarrely, dressing up for members and you are sat next to some bloke in jandals.
Been a shit show there for some time.
Oh hey Pure steady on mate Merlin 'convincingly' beaten, I dont think so! I agree with CharlieE who posted in the other thread Merlin was 'huge' look at the run he had, where he came from 3 wide, to only just go down short of the post (gunned down by a horse who had done nothin in the runnin, power to them) mighty Merlin worked his ass off, was entitled to feel the pinch; swap those 2 runs around and Merlin blasts home 🤣
Cheers Iraklis
Haha , we used to watch that as well , some random Div 1 game played 2 weeks before on some of the shittiest pitches you could imagine and could have been the last 2 teams in the league playing but we would still watch .
Height of summer here , stoncking hot but drew all the curtains and sat enthralled , real football .
Then the FA cup on in the middle of the night , that's where I found my Spurs , or maybe they found me .
Love at first sight .
In 1974 when the big match used to get played on a Sunday lunchtime. Pretty sure Kenny Dalglish sealed my love of them. Was lucky enough to get a ticket see them beat Sunderland in FA Cup final at Wembley in 1992. Greatest sporting event ive ever seen let alone been to.
So ive stuck with them in good times and bad, of which there has been plenty, Salah is the best ive seen at the club
Think it was $35 for gate sales on the day. I was about to gather the kids and go until I seen that - ridiculous really. But looks like they had a decent crowd in the GA section though so I guess there were a few who thought it was value.
There were 160 horses racing at Motukarara on Sunday the 29th, I suspect that is the main reason today's Rangiora fields are a bit disappointing, although....
Rangiora 10 races 89 horses
ATC 31/12 10 races 88 horses
