Had a look back at some of today’s action. Good debut by OCEANA DREAM at Tauranga and could be one to follow. Tauherenikau would, with hurdles and fences added, pass for the track at Listowel and like it’s Kerry counterpart, has its idiosyncrasies so it’s probably a good idea to follow those with proven track form. SHELLBYROCKIN’ hadn’t got home over the 1600m on good ground last time but back to 1300m on a soft surface with an uncontested lead, was always going to win and win well. Can that form be repeated? Not sure. -

I was being a bit sarcastic before inferring that free entry would see the place packed out, women's cricket the other day they were giving free entry, had stated that they would get the biggest crowd ever, yet seemed like not many turned up

At least the Members Stand will be full…..unlike Ellerslie from what I could see. Oh and incidentally Ellerslie has over 1 million people to call upon to fill the public stand! Based on what I saw on TV the members and the public now just want to stay at home and watch them on TV because of the actions of Weaver, the fun police, drink drive laws, no centre of the course BBQ and BYO, wokenism, the Greens, SAFE etc. Trentham, based on a population percentage based will be better, but just. At least next year this meeting will be back at Awapuni, or hopefully so as trying to race at Trentham at this time of the year is stupidly, but that’s what the swinging cocks of Karaka Night have demanded.
