Trainer Kenny McPeek, who won last year's Kentucky Oaks with Thorpedo Anna, brings three of his finest fillies. Gowells Delight broke her maiden at Fair Grounds the day after Christmas. View the full article
I think the Dunns are pretty fair when it comes to dishing out drives . Maybe Tim has been driving the horse in trials or something Often I see John sitting in the stands while others like Riley , Blair , Gavin and even Mikayla Lewis who upset them recently on Judine drive for the stable . To be honest if Tim W drove my horse instead of John I would be very happy ,
Looking forward to seeing how Who's Delight goes at Blenheim , the best of him would clean up that field . Also I see Jimmy C on El Conqueror . I won't be backing him but will be interesting to see how he goes after that last start when god knows what Blair was thinking
The poet Wordsworth clearly suffered from it ...
There was a time when meadow, grove, and stream,
The earth, and every common sight,
To me did seem
Apparelled in celestial light,
The glory and the freshness of a dream.
It is not now as it hath been of yore;—
Turn wheresoe'er I may,
By night or day.
The things which I have seen I now can see no more.
John is driving against 3 of the stable runners on Friday at Blenhiem. I guess that's why he doesn't list as a Trainer.
He can't need other driving Fees that desperately ? crazy really. just doesn't feel right for the Countries leading stable to do that ? . and yeah the 3 sets of owners must be slightly downhearted, after paying lots of money to the stable for service 🙄.
Horse been trained at Dunn’s….. was on unhinged videos recently….. what does Dunn owner think when he paying massive training bills and their horse isn’t good enough for the stable driver to drive…..
Hypothetical answer ...if the race had 10 runners, she might not have finished as close as 4th.
She wasnt at $2.10 initially, Pete...more like $1.65 ..and the whole point of the original post ...the price offered for her at FO was stoopid ..for the reasons you describe (tempo of the race in a small field likely to be sit/sprint, her known racing pattern and the 60kg impost). Whether or not she still wants to be a racehorse is the big question.
If she doesn't win or go close next time, the excuse will likely be 2nd-up syndrome ...
She won''t be getting any of Maxi;s modest funds until (and unless) she does something to indicate she's approaching her best. Many top 3yos of their year fail to rediscover that form at 4yo or older.
They are based now in Cambridge.
Why would they be interested in Trentham?
Don’t you know that Trentham in the Lower North Island and that the Desert Road is closed?
Wow. Knock a pole over,,, drive inside poles ,on the helmet of the winner 200 or so to go and you get into more trouble than Donald Trump looking after Stormy Daniels, and all stewards can say they will speak to him the way he drove. Sad!
I bet Donald would have found an "opening"
Nice tipping there! 👍💰 Led All the way and won easy . your driver CJ probably couldn't believe his luck when the number 1 horse who was the tote favourite decided to 'can-can' in the score up on the Orangeman. .
