Yes very disappointing for her on the comeback, I wish her all the very best as well. We keep saying it it's a tough game being a jockey. Talking of Trav i'm with you i had a good crack at the EW and the drinks and replays of it doesn't help as well 😄 -
Not sure if you can say the same about KOMOCEAN in the second - the horse got very lit up in the stalls and blew the start. -
Apologies for the unintended offence. I’m sure plenty of people on here have plenty of ideas and there should be a way to field these ideas up to NZTR even if they don’t accept them. On a related, the Racing Post has the 2024 crowd numbers for Britain which are up slightly. The average crowd at a UK jumps meeting was 3575 and on the flat 3304. The total numbers attending UK horse race meetings fell slightly to 4.8 million but with 15 fewer meetings (1410 after abandonments) the average rose to 3404 from 3392 in 2023. It’s slow progress but in the right direction.

That didn't last long , I thought I heard a broken leg today that's very disappointing if true (no stipe report so far) anyway the very very best wishes to her and her family and a speedy recovery , racing injuries can be tough , I'm surprised none of the perennial posters have mentioned this accident , anyway I suspect this incident cost me a few dollars , $100 for a place on Trav 4th at $8 bugger anyway it's mini party time here barbeque steak , 3 stein lagers an a half a bottle of sparkling wine and plenty of great music , happy days and again best wishes to Lisa and her family . -
It sure was but what about Trav ? Poor connections if it had gone away with the field would have pissed in -

Crowd seemed ok from what I saw, like Riccarton the lack of a public stand doesn’t help and will keep folk away -

Yes watching the races from the Philippines is awesome. Betting at 7am in the morning on an island in the middle of nowhere feels a bit weird but all done by lunchtime and the rest of the day to chill out and do what you want.

Blaird & Al Feilding both on Wolfgang in the Wellington Cup and they both nail the Telegraph/Wgtn Cup double to take the early lead. Looking ahead nobody picked the Coolmore 2yo that looked so impressive today, to win the Slipper. -

It's holiday time mate. These galloping folk work hard 7 days a week with horses and each January a whole heap of these hard working folk, get to go to Gold Coast and while still working with some runners in the Gold Coast Magic Millions and buying some yearlings for some of them , there's still time to kick back and get to the beach with the family for a day or two, and forget about Rosehill for a week or three. 🏄♂️🌞 -
In this crap field my pick is Arby . The way George Simon has said how good Son of Sun is then would be the obvious pick I reckon . Paying good money too
