I don't know if he has gate speed. If he has any tonight is the time to show it. The FFA was a strange one. As you say Republican Party showed no speed from #1, perhaps he was feeling the effects of the Cup run days earlier? Catch A Wave, a great horse on his day, got to lead easily. I think Republican Party has improved since then though. -

It may end up being a perfect draw PS if drivers are smart . RP should lead early and if he hands up and LTF is 3 back on the fence , the horse parked might ease back and let him out to be parked giving them the perfect sit behind LTF . Will be a great race and I reckon you are right with Swayzee he seems better these days -

I think that they are mad targeting The Derby with Hinekaha. Unless you are an absolute superstar of a filly it doesn’t work out. What I don’t get is the Oaks is now a million so why not? Oh I heard Foresman say about the travel! Goodness gracious me, she travels back and forwards to Bulls to spell etc so what’s the problem. Well I’ve put it out there, so let’s see what happens. Liz

They ran 1.10.77 in the second race and the jockey said the track was perfect. I think you're guilty of nitpicking in this instance.

Ok ATR and NZTR, you got me.... I gots to know! Why did we run an 8-race card today on a Soft 5 ? No rain for the past 7 days. Is it now preferred to prepare the new surface with all this 'give' in the ground?
