Yes one for the battlers, one remembers Mr dells horrific injuries many years back, after a terrible fall at the trials, and a long lay off, can quite remember the circumstances, good on him, done well to make it back to race riding.

Great for the large number of owners of Risque Ruler and Windsor Park Stud. The residual value of her two younger half sisters by Circus Maximus will increase as well.

I agree . But wasn't it good to see Chris Dell win the race . So happy for him

Hated this from the get go.... I'm a bad judge about many things, but I couldn't see how this was going to be any different from what they delivered. I'm not sure what the whole thinking or what they would acheive was, but no doubt there will be a positive spin put on it... 🙄 -
Mighty Oscar B an Ants 🤗 what a win for the Champ at Cranbourne tonight, corr he's just summit else, congrats Mark and Nath 🫡 Cheers Iraklis PS. the Dreamin and Tact ran very creditable races for 2nd and 3rd, DSDreamin worked his butt off; stuck to his guns in the straight real nice....

So much money about now Liz. Its hard to know how to spend it all. Makes me recall the 80s. The industry is booming. Wonderful time to be a racegoer. -

Well Here To Shock is now a Group 1 winner and the 3yo is now Group 1 placed. -
Max - self-appointed (and sometimes r-r-rong) Guru of Engreesh had to raise one eyebrow upon seeing this 'definition' of AFTERMATH. While it is most often used in reference to a significant unoleasant event, it ain't necessarily so... to wit, things that happen in the aftermath of an election aren't necessarily unpleasant.

Yes, ow that the Aussie owners/trainer shave clicked into the easy pickings of our boosted stakes, they'' come a'raiding more often ..and we'll grizzle about it all day long/f. Despite the fact that we've been raiding their goodies store for decades. LOL

Well I'm sorry but I don't where you took out of my post that I was putting New Zealanders down . Now maybe I'm naive but going on exposed form I didn't see that result today , and certainly not as comprehensively . I actually just expressed my surprise that maybe our standard isn't even where I thought it was . My post was about what the future may hold because of that . As you would have seen I regularly post on wanting the powers to start finding solutions before we fall even further . You know my posts stand up for the industry and the way it's being managed , I don't do rose tinted glasses and I'm certainly not into tall poppy slashing . There is stacks of information I could share on this forum but don't and I can assure you many would be surprised at some of it , but it wouldn't achieve anything . Now the winner may well be a better horse than a G3 horse but from what I have seen not so far , that's all I can go on and he may well go on and step up further , I didn't knock him for winning , that is something I don't do , I know how tough even a mdn is to win . I stand by what I said , if you or anyone else didn't see a worrying result today that's fine , but I am allowed to express my opinion , and your allowed to express yours but you made it personal .

Wow .. no need to lose your cool and start swearing. It's all about perception, and if you're a greyhound professional worker it's not hard to look presentable for TV. That's why there is a dress code. The dress code like the sport is in decline, because nobody is being held accountable. It has nothing to do with how hard someone works, or the old he or she is a lovely person. It's as easy as getting things right ... and not the old she'll be right attitude. That's my opinion, and obviously you don't agree. But hey that is absolutely your right.

Nomates, I simply get sick and tied of New Zealanders putting each other down. Here to Shock didn't stay in Melbourne because the only race for him to day was the CS Orr Stakes and the stable already had Mt Brightside running in that. [NZ bred too] With regard to the second horse, he's gone by a very different route to get to where he is and I suspect has got under the guard of the pundits, but there again we will just have to wait and see. I'm not getting involved in any personal debates. I have been out of touch all day and only just catching up on results and reading a few comments. I fully expected the two Aussies to quinella it. The winner is a very impressive horse. I saw some people suggesting grail seeker was a good thing. I can only assume the don't watch Aussie racing. As Nomates says, some of our newly high staked races with ordinary fields will become attractive targets for Aussie raiders. The same thing happened when Helen and Winston gave us the $1m Derbies. -
Bloody Billy Egan cost us. Terrible ride on Munhamek….😠

Ok get it straight , I never knocked the horse . There is no tall poppy syndrome at all , just stating facts and my opinion on what the future holds . The facts : The winner is a 7yo that has won 3 G3s , stakes are irrelevant because as we know money is flowing across Australasian racing , every time he has stepped up from G3 he has not performed . FACT , whether you Insider know a fair bit about him and get the inside gen means nothing , if he that good why didn't he stay in Melbourne and take on Mr Brightside . Reality is very few 7yos improve above what they are , he is now a G1 winner , albeit in NZ , where even you have had a dig at our standard , but good on him . Maybe you should not let your personal bias lead your comments . Now Insider if you know something about him I don't from his record please enlighten me . : The second horse has won 2 races , 1 a lower race and at his last start a restricted race that had Listed status , which we all deride here , again stake has no relevance . : Now the big FACT , these 2 horse with lower grade black type form have come over and kicked our best sprinters and our current champion 3yo , the winner was comprehensive . So are you noy concerned ? Now where is the Tall Poppy in stating those facts , if I did have that syndrome I would actually be rejoicing at our best horses getting beaten up , I wasn't I was saying how worrying it is . Now to you alone Insider , this isn't the first time you have got on your high horse , and always when I have said something that you have a connection with , I don't say anything personal , you just take it personal , you just jump on your high horse and have a dig like I'm not allowed an opinion . If you don't like what I said here then give me a counter argument , I have stated facts , tell me which ones I have got wrong .

Very true . He gave our best sprinters a spanking today
