I venture to suggest Rogie will be thinking of lining him up for the Grand National at Ricketytown in due course ...

Big congrats from Max to the organisers and participants who made this happen - and to NZTR for the video. This is how you make people want to go the races ... show people of all ages interacting up close with the horses; show them how wonderfully cared-for these horses are when their racing days are over. Seachange -bloody Nora she looked sensational, I thought. I hope this video was/is/will be shown on Weigh In. It should be scheduled as a "filler' in between races. (Lord know it beats watching "trailers" for Weigh In and Whale Watch and endlessly repeated i/vs with trainers of the 'stars" of the moment etc etc) And I hope Living Legends can be repeated in the CD (Liz, get it sorted down at Trentham please) and Riccarton. yes it does seem a turnaround though, when Mark usually had the Top Gun pushing the next best back to 2nd for many years across the past decade. Now he sees his star runner DSD pushed back to 2nd by Leap To Fame and Merlin and Swayzee a few times. the tables are turning ?? also Marketplace of Regan Todd's pushed all his 2 yearolds back as well late last year. so Mark might be 2nd Best this year in the Derbies as well . A Good Group 1 win by our favourite trainer Regan Todd on Friday too. LAKELSA winning the Breeders Stakes at Addington. Actually Blair drove 'Treacherous Baby' of Allstars a bit hard , and too fast round the field just as you described here too it seems. and she had nothing left to give at the Top of the straight. Mikey Close's son drove the winner very well with great patience. Nice to see Robbie driving a Group 1 Winner . 👍🏆 -
shad, ma man, these comments are not attacking the horse! Do you not see that they are -in multiple different words and phrases- bemoaning the sad state of the horse's circumstances...eg the training and racing of a former top-class 3yo horse who has been asked to do too much too often and too soon.

Oh you lot, got find a 20 start maiden to take out your frustrations on, regardless he has nothing to prove, whether he wins another race or not, or even better go find one that's half as good,, there's a challenge for ya.

Should change this thread to Dull and Tired methinks. Just not the horse he was.

HISTORY . Who owned the land first, Israel or Palestine? By more than 1,000 years, “Israel” predates “Palestine.” The land then became home primarily to an Arab population, again for more than a millennium. Both Jews and Arabs thus have a legitimate claim to the land. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has seen myriad wrongs and brutalities on both sides.6 Jul 2021 -
Spot on SNM, found this in an old Raceform article; Waking up with his two best friends by his side, Dell burst into song – and not just any song. He performed Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” from start to finish. “I don’t know, I woke up with a couple of my besties next to me and thought it was Saturday night and we were about to go out partying

Congratulations to the winning connections........would love to snag one of these races myself. However - The worry must be what is going to happen in 3 years time when the initial Entain honeymoon period is over? If betting turnover doesn't grow in that time we could be back to 10k maidens......

To be honest and nothing against Blair but I don't think he suits this horse . I like Mark driving him . Kath Gath great drive last night she just worked around quietly to sit parked . That's what I don't like about Blair at times he takes off fast around fields not slowly , that takes the punch out of horses doing that

I recall some bizarre story that one of the first things he did when he came out of his coma was to recite or sing the lyrics to a pop song - Anaconda by Nikki Minaj perhaps? or maybe I'm making that up? I won't back anything he rides but good on him for his big win yesterday - great to see. -
Could still win again but only on a heavy track.

Cambridge trainer Brett McDonald was charged with presenting four horses who returned possitive swabs to phenyl butazone that day at the Ruakaka Trials. He was disqualified for two and a half years and fined $12,500 including costs. The horse Chris Dell fractured both front legs during it's trial and fell.

Happened at the trials at Ruakaka early December 2014 - Dell, 22, suffered suspected head injuries and was airlifted to Auckland Hospital in an induced coma after the fall during the trials at Ruakaka, north of Auckland, on Tuesday. Dell was on the track for more than an hour as medical staff attended to him. He was placed in an induced coma before he was taken by helicopter to Auckland Hospital. Stipendiary steward Alan Coles said Dell’s horse did not fall as a result of any interference and no riders were at fault.
