Commenting on the concept doesn't mean I have any interest in the race itself. It is highly unlikely I will have a bet on the race. I have only heard of two of the horses currently confirmed. I am more likely to bet on this week's Southland Guineas. I don't bet on a race because it is hyped up, it is more likely to have the opposite affect on me. But as I have said, I'm not the target market for these hyped races. I bet much less than I used to so the TAB can easily survive without me, and me them.
I do worry about this big day. I think of all the eggs in one basket if it pours with rain. And I have never seen 7 high staked races for 3yos on one programme before. I doubt even Australia could get away with that.
never had a bet on NZ gallops in my life. if you hold a race riding licence you're not allowed to... this thread was posted on Friday when we had Tauranga races, where we had races like the first where it was a speed duel early with lots of riders wanting to be handy... and even by the end of the day Ulrika ran us along and had us chasing. i was wondering if the original poster thought we were steadying the tempo too much or not enough
You seem to be showing a bit of interest in this slot race now, Entain will be happy about that, can imagine them sitting around the table at conception saying "if only we could get We're Doomed interested"
