For sure. has been for a while with all the clashes in different age groups already. Merlin and DSD have Quinellaed the Derby and the Race by Grins for starters. Matty White would do ok with a few nice horses (he is like a sort of Northern Regan Todd) If the Butchers all worked together old David, Philip was a great farrier, Zac and Benjamin they could have a 'Super' stable to take all the Purdons on , but won't do it. Zac driving for Barry and Scott instead of training , which is annoying, as would be a Good rival trainer . with a good strike rate already. TonyH seems to have scaled right back ? not racing many ? or Maurice.. Ray Green trying to get a few young ones going still. but He'll never find another Copy That. -
If I was young again yes I would apply bet you would too lol . Will be a great opportunity for a young person , because as we know the Purdon's always give the young ones a go . Personally I think it will be :Mark and Nathan against Barry and Scott in the North for the premiership

11 race winners at Addington along with 11 winning connections . and 8 race winners at Alexandra Park with 8 sets of happy connections . There's some great stat's for the night for you tonight CMN. It's enough to give 19 lots of people a Happy Valentine ? ♥️ what could be better ? Not tipping the 2 year old race after all your counting ? Go for your National Champion Allstars then, with No.4 JUST US TWO and get your self some choc's. in case you miss out. don't back No.5 SonofMisery . that would be too depressing for you. -

Mate , you got that wrong too. Punters aren't stupid , and they know with the pace that the horse's are going , that you CANNOT win from the back of the field if 12 starters or more , Unless a Super horse effort is performed , which is highly unlikely on most occasions. Who wants to BET ion a Horse that is No chance as they come inside the quarter Mile ? No-one. Race 2 at Addington just now had 14 starters and at least 4 -6 runners NO Chance at the quarter. burn your ticket lol ... You're Just too far back to possibly Win ? they go too fast these days up front (and keep going too) At least Addington has seen the ERROr of their ways and has about 4-5 eight horse fields tonight. MUCH MORE SENSIBLE. good on em' !!! might have a bet even 👍💰 . What about you ? (just quietly Wag Star in the 8th is the BEST horse racing tonight 😎 but don't tell the punters, i'm keen for a carton for the weekend) -

They are leaving behind a few of their amazing staff in Canterbury (some folk want to live in the one place all their lives for some reason 😆) If you were a 20 something , or a keen teen, you would chain yourself to the fence post at Pukekohe (Steven Reids old place) to be first in line get a job with Nathan when he arrives !!! 😉. Are you gunna apply Charlie ? they need old boys to 'Brush em' Up' on what's what 👍 . (The youngsters and the horses 😎) -
HRNZ initiative and good to see an effort to get more picnic meetings back in the North. On the positive side, the Auckland Anniversary meeting at Tauranga used to be the BOP club's major meeting with big holiday crowds. Taupo is a holiday destination so if adequate promotion to get the ball rolling, could be the start of something good. Taupo is central and a relatively easy reach with the Waikato expressway for Puke trainers. But agree even for grass trackers, it's a pretty big ask to have the Taupo and Hawera meetings so close together for the same group of horses. Think some tweaking needed else Taupo will flop.

Really? Wow I have so many identities that I didn't know I had. You know very well who you are...just not sure how you manage so many...I have enough issues with one...but soon if you keep going you will have one less to worry about...😀🤣 -
This result reminds me of a saying my Dad used to say - when your lucks in shit will do for brains. I am referring to my results only, I am sure you others knew what you were doing, I really had no idea.

You are absolutely right. It is what happened. The punting people are horrified by short odds and have left harness in the droves to seek better odds at the gallops. Because the trotters and Pacers run much more 'truer to form'. Swayzee, Leap To Fame, Just Believe, Muscle Mountain , Merlin Keyang Zahara, Duchess Megxit , Akuta, Marketplace and others too, all Always near the win , no matter where they race. Give it their best EVERYTIME. And start at short odds accordingly. The smaller fields at harness racing means the odds a shorter in the everyday Ratings class races too. than at the Gallops meetings. BUT you are Way wayw way more chance of picking the winner. I can pick 2 horses in every race on a galloping race card and Not even get a winner 😪. No sense punting on that no matter what the great 'odds' . so Better to get every 2nd winner on a 7 horse field card and go home winning IMO lol. less starters the better. USA just do 8 horses fields all the time , and we do 9 at Redcliffe and mostly 10 at other locations . Every horse gets a chance to WIN in EVERY race. A winning system. (we fought hard with evidence, to get fields sizes reduced from 12 starters, with Racing QLD ) -

Doesn't interest me and I doubt racing at Taupo will gain any new fans. -

I guess that's like politics then. Always seems half the nation think Labour can't run the country and the other half National. just one of those things. and people never change. The ATC was a bit unlucky in that the Club PResident Died that had the development as a Brainchild (in 2015) , just before construction ( and the underlying building problems began) Hoggard was the man that was doing that property thing , and suddenly He's Not There anymore. Very very tough on the trotting folk left to handle it . and they all get the blame. But throw the hot soup at them .everyone keen to bag the poor soul's because of inept gone broke 'construction company' . that are famous for ripping people off. they are so piss poor at helping anyone once they have their internal issues. Which seems to happen every job these days. Selling Alexandra Park seems the realistic option now . to escape the debt. hopefully some left over to reestablish. 100 years of tradition finished. 😪 -
Cambridge racing anniversary day 26 January next year, at Taupo, 4 days before Hawera, good move or not, thoughts people.

Really? Wow I have so many identities that I didn't know I had. Now I'm Colin Wightman aka racingoutsider!! Anyway back to the Topic if a reasoned response is allowed. You said the shares were "going South again" when in fact they are not. The reality is the Share Price has risen 15% in the last 6 months and shows no sign of going South - easy to argue it is going North as nearly all Financial Analysts are and recommending buy. That's the facts. -

Menangle is one track that you can come from behind if good enough. Every horse gets its chance at Menangle.
