Yes a good cart out off the pole running line 2 laps out , when well on the bit . About half a cart out with one lap to go when not pulling as hard. And straight as a die up the home straight in the run to the finish when completely off the bit. Some horses can 'Run up the track' a little when on the steel. Captain Hammerhead is a big strong animal , and been a little tricky to drive at times in the past. David Moran doing a great job , and getting his redemption last night for the horse getting a DQ from the Shepparton Cup with the 'dropped' foot. that Cost Swayzee 1/2 Million . But he's still in line for 1/2 Million if he wins at Tamworth ( and still gets 4 wins in the 5 carnival of Cups Bonus series. ) -
Mine was purely a homer pick. If I picked with head over heart I would have gone Ravens or Bills. -

I thought it was a really strangely run race but then I guess Captain Hammerheads connections may have wanted to run it that way to get Swayzee out of his comfort zone. Didn't Captain Hammerhead run out a lot especially down the straights? that's what it looked like to me anyway and I am sure the commentator mentioned it too.

Yes, l watched it live last night. I was surprised Captain Hammerhead kept going, but man did he do everything to hassle Swayzee from one end of the race to the other whilst on his inside. Swayzee never looked like winning really, but still got close. It was a two horse war like there were no other horses on track. The head on at the end showed the rest of the field stretched over the entire length of the start/finish straight. -
