Kates interview come across as someone very frustrated that the jockeys either arent being asked for their expert opinion, and/or they're not getting listened to. Her comments around the Whanganui running rail, and the inexperienced riders giving Hastings feedback when the seniors were available were very interesting. -

I backed Ortem Legacy at Ellerslie. Paying just over $20 when I backed it as they were about to jump. Looked during the running and it had dropped to $12. That's a hell of a drop on a big raceday. I'm not normally betting at this time on a Saturday. Is that sort of thing typical? I suppose small pools and big Aussie bets coming through. -
For all the money flowing in our sport at present why can't the powers go and get the absolute best track manager they can who can come here and sort out our tracks and educate our TM's , because currently most of them wouldn't keep their jobs if they were in any other industry . -
Is there the right people ? Those are 2 things they don't want from the plebs at the coal face . There are plenty of people within the industry with knowledge and experience that would greatly improve the industry but no one wants to listen .

Does anyone have historical records for the Rain Gauge measurements at this and other Racecourses? Competent people in the Animal Sector kept these to work out what may or may not need to be done to the land on top of using Draught horses and animals with their hooves in general terms to plough and aerate the soil to help naturally irrigate it. Men and machinery have screwed up nature - the ongoing control of metals/ steel etc Minister of War Schwab empire strikes again 100 plus years down the track - follow the money trail where the harmony in society has been ruined. -

Do the jockeys get any compensation at all for turning up to work and finding there is no work through no fault of their own/?I would have thought a token payment of at least $500 would be the least they could expect for the inconvenience. -

Yes, summed it up very well. Apparently Wanganui was nothing to do with the track, it was the running rail. -

Kate Hercock clearly very frustrated but gave a good interview just now. Clearly many issues that are not being addressed -
No other horses slipped during the race we are told. Yes the faller slipped, no doubt. Why is the question. Have they had a sprinkler fail at that area? That is my question? I bet we never get the real reason. -
