Ocean dream Trained by a man who can win a derby or two Easy winner Willydoit- never a chance to win a derby. He's not a machine - remember this is his first proper preparation

I was at the track today and I noticed that they didn't appear to be going that fast. If you were back was hard to see anything making up ground and threatening. Need to watch replays but sadly the adminstration the decision makers are totally ruining NZ racing. This watering the track to get to a soft 5 is the result of slipping and we saw this when only 1 race was run in Otaki. The track was getting markings as if it was a soft to heavy track

I'm 100% with you on the coffee shop shut early It's Ellerslie and ATR- What do you expect!?! They certainly aren't there for the people and encouraging new persons to the sport/industry. They mentioned today on the TV about involving ATR members with their slot decision- as a lifetime member I'm still awaiting communication.. This highlights my post from the trials there last week about the catering failing miserably. Obviously things haven't changed and lessons havent been learnt. They'll never change- all about the big rich guys looking after each other. They whole lot make me sick- they aren't real kiwi men; more so little half men who can organize a booze up in a brewery I can absolutely 110% guarantee that Pukekohe will be a real sad, and useless day for ATR in terms of services available to owners and patrons.

I watched the scenes and interviews after the Oakleigh Plate. You can see in Australian racing it is all about the passion and enthusiasm and respect for tradition. The NZ approach is to throw millions into some new races and expect people to get excited, while ignoring tradition. The Aussies are happy to embrace the new rich races but still appear to value the traditional races more. NZ appears to be largely intent on ignoring tradition and its intangible value. -
Congratulations John. Well deserved on every count. You are a superstar.

Points table after Week 3 Previous leader Houlahan drew a blank today (foreshadowed perhaps with the "fold like a deckchair" comment), while the scorer flukes a stint in top place - somebody should audit the scores. Jack flew up the standings as did Floyd who has overcome a poor week 1 score to make the top 8. Still three rounds to come. LGL format next week! An imbalance due to a disproportionate number of migrants from the same countries also comes into play. Those people are not educated the same as some about how the wider New Zealand economy works. They spend their time walking around aimlessly fixated to their Mobile phones - we suggested to Westfield recently to have an Internet/ Phone free day as we are fed up to the eyeballs of these "Zombies" who simply don't fit into life of New Zealand society. Well done David Richwhite and a few others who encouraged and have contributed to the consequences of his actions that impact on the lives of ordinary people of New Zealand who have been left to face the consequences due to his arrogance. Do remember Fay Richwhite also have been instrumental in pushing for a Cashless Society - Asset Card...

All great points. I'm sure that explains why very few people attend Ellerslie other than on a couple of big days. -
Telco merry go around - just like when Mobile Brick phones and Espionage camera phones are traded in and all that data stays in a system that who knows who is accessing as they went to South Africa/ Rwanda and Nigeria to be used as part of there Social Security Digital Wallets where they were trialed first aye? Next minute, people here are scammed. Well done Tony Blair institute to. New Zealand has been screwed over by idiots in inferior places.

Stipes had no problem with the pace of the race. Jockey on the hot fav said he was unable to quicken. Not sure what the stipes will say if there is a massive form reversal in the Derby. On that result hard to see him winning the Derby. -
I used to work for Vodafone and we had endless complaints about the Vodafone TV box which I believe is the same new one Sky TV is upgrading customers to I refused to upgrade and still have the old one . Sky really needs to get their shit together and with these current problems hopefully they will learn a good lesson from it

Why do they bother with using a Drone? Perhaps the use of Drones at places one used to be able to go freely without being filmed is what's also putting people off from attending such places - they are a grotesque intrusion of privacy and people don't want the insides of their hand bags filmed ( it's disgusting that nonsense has crept everywhere in society) and people get sick to death of cameras in their faces to only to be shown to who knows who who may be watching. Some of the perverted type filming of women's breasts and close ups of legs etc we have seen is unacceptable - who can blame people for not attending?

It was a problem all day. Even George Simon alluded to it in the last when he said "once again they slam on the anchors" after Vegas Queen went around to lead and then slowed up considerably.

Times change. Less than 1k at the races and 27k plus at the beautiful game. 30 years ago, it would have been the reverse.
