Is quite astounding what they did tonight. both caught out wide and working for a half, then holding them off all the last quarter. in quick 1.48. too. Leap To Fame has a huge job to beat them next week in the Miracle Mile.? might get beat this time round.🤔 Catch A Wave quite an eye catching run too coming from last for 2nd . He has already Won a Miracle Mile previously and a Chariots of Fire too , (so can go a bit 😅) -
Wow what can you say about the efforts of Swayzee and Don Hugo tonight , just incredible

Gotta love how they get away with it, bloody ridiculous but they get results

Marketing 101 isn't it? If you want to promote something to an uninitiated public, you need someone they recognisable to front your campaign. No good rolling out racing personalities for the sake of it. Imagine Mark Walker popping up in the ads trying to generate some public excitement. Anyway the topic has been thrashed out enough on the Guy Heveldt threads but at the end of the day you want TV people doing TV things, and horse people doing horsey things. Its a winning formula for all sports broadcasting whether it be rugby, sailing, olympics etc... As soon as you start placing people outside their areas of competence it turns into a shambles.

You mean Laura "I'll Front Anything/Everything" McG? [McG sounds like her rap name]. She even fronted Sky Speed for a time when one of the regular hosts was absent for a week or three. She looked extremely uncomfortable have to talk about race cars/drivers. I actually felt sorry for her there, thrown in the deep end with no life jackets in sight. A faux pas by Sky TV as the sole remaining host could have coped better alone instead of trying to include somebody that doesn't know the difference between ____________ and ____________ [fill in the blanks yourself 🤣]

LOL Max made a fortune today with a bob each way on his 2 lay bets in 12 races...

Adding insult to injury, we now have to put up with a 10 days worth of promo hype for the Kiwi featuring that famously knowledgeable Kiwi racing personality ...(drum roll, please) LAURA MCGOLDRICK GUPTILL SMILEYMcSMILEYFACE FFS ...why??? if they really needed to 'celebritise' this any more...why not get Francesca (no surname required)? catchin' mah drift...or am I bein' obtuse? (Shawshank...no second word needed)

Yes, its a bloody shambles. We think NZ racing is badly run, but even we wouldn't be as arrogant as NSW. -

We need to keep an eye on the names behind the NSW/Australian debacle, as they'll likely resurface as the next imported band of "experts" to run thoroughbred racing in New Zealand.

Easy , just don't join NATO , Zelensky had a choice stay neutral or continue on and the path of joining NATO, Putin took the prospect of Ukraine becoming a NATO member as a threat to Russia . At the June 2021 Brussels summit, NATO leaders reiterated the statement made at the 2008 Bucharest summit that Ukraine would eventually join NATO. In late 2021, there was another massive Russian military buildup around Ukraine. Now no country can join NATO if that country is at war which when you think about it committed Putin to create a war . -
Really glad that he showed he is up to Group 1 company in Australia. I didn't think he would be so happy to be proven wrong.

Interesting article today about most of the NSW novelty races losing their group and listed status. Good to see some common sense prevailing.. https://www.anzbloodstocknews.com/editions/2025-03/01/web/index.html -

Big effort from Savaglee I thought. And brilliant quinella. I'm sure the connections are pleased they went in that direction. An Aussie group 1 placing worth a lot more long term than winning or placing in a restricted entry race.
