If Biden Bullshits, I will call him out as I am no fan of his,
If I catch Donald J Trump exaggerating stories ill call him out but up to now, I haven't found him at it.
The Don spins a good yarn .but what elected politician doesn't ?
Trump was always going to get elected no matter how much crap came outa his mouth - some people need to build a bridge and get over it and move on to something more substantial
On the subject of local commentators, John Hunt, who has been through more than any human being should be asked to endure in recent times, was at Cheltenham on Friday and did the Gold Cup commentary for Radio 5 Live.
‘We’re united in our compassion towards John Hunt - his Gold Cup commentary speaks volumes of the man’ | Racing Post
Some are calling form him to be knighted or honoured for his bravery - I don't know the man though did say hello to him some years ago. I hope he can find some peace.
It's called integrity. If you know someone is a crook, you just don't trust him. You and your wacko mates embrace the fool, and he can do no wrong in your eyes. Also, you are happy to spin heaps of bullshit to support him.
Horses can defy all sorts of human logic but how were her splits for one thing and next time will probably be a step up and if she gets something sitting just behind her, what then? Can't deny her this one though. Clearly superior.
Max is reserving his judgment on POJ's win yetserday...small, moderate quality field ...the real test comes when she takes on the best again. Glad the horse is thriving on racing and work, but the risk will always be there for something unpleasant to occur on raceday ...and prehaps a tad more likely to happen given her history.
The D. Wayne Lukas entry in the March 15 Virginia Derby, American Promise, delivered a career-best effort to finish 7 3/4 lengths ahead of Render Judgment and set a track record for 1 1/8 miles on the dirt at Colonial Downs.View the full article
HRNZ has misunderstood scientific data in their push for increased 2yo racing, and all the incentives in the world will not make huge difference in numbers, especially with fewer horses being bred. Firstly, while it is true that early maturing horses that can race young have more lifetime starts, every decent trainer will tell owners most 2yos are not physically and mentally robust enough to race and it is in the horse's best interests to wait. Secondly, when talking about bone and muscle development we must be careful interpreting northern hemisphere data where horses spend a lot of of their life in stables. Our race horses are paddock reared and even though they may not race at two, will have had multiple periods of training while young.
However, HRNZ is right in promoting harness racing/ownership in the North Island where 76% of the population lives, 32% alone in Auckland. It would be hard to increase ownership numbers in Canterbury which I acknowledge is the heart of our industry. But getting a small percentage of the 28,000+ millionaires living in Auckland interested could make a big difference to our whole industry, especially the viability of breeding quality foals.
