For obvious reasons, Max has a vested interest in this horse.. a bob each way at every run. That's 19 runs by Oaks Day for the filly by a speed sire (Ferrando) out od a Duelled mare. Skymax is an honest trier who so far has lacked the class factor to be up there with the best girls of her year. But she's fit. The Rogie factor is always troublesome (for this Max, anyway). A stellar career f winners at the highest level(s) over decades but ... ...too many times to the well too often for too many horses (and there have been thousands)?? Go well, Skymax..you'll deserve a decent holiday in a grassy paddock after the Oaks (though I somehow doubt you'll get one!)

I hope she wins as she is the best horse in the field on exposed form. My only worry is she has been up for a long time, I hope and wish she has one more big run in her.🤞...Go Robbie and team. -

All you have ever done is knocked Ellerslie from day one. I also was critical to start with but it has improved due to extensive and constant work on it, still not 100% right yet but a huge improvement, however you just never can give an ounce of credit when any is due...negative Nelly... cant you just be positive for a second, its actually not that bad.....🤣 -

It's hard to say, mate. Marketplace was huge last night, he picked up Got The Chocolates in a couple of strides and raced away. I don't think he was asked for an effort. The horse can only improve and he looks a class above the other three year olds at this stage. He should win plenty of stake money this season. -

I am quoting facts based on the evidence published. Yes the track may race OK today however the reporting of track ratings and they way they are measured don't add up. The weather has been kind today to Trentham as it was last week to Wanganui. Explain how Ellerlsie are allowed to continually say their track is a Soft 5 when they don't actually use anything quantitative to measure it? How many other "Strathayr" tracks in the world only measure moisture levels which appear to have no correlation to the track rating/condition? Seriously though does this look like a track that is being well looked after? Trentham today. -

I think it should be, the weather has been pretty good to enable a decent track for all today.

That's what I said, they did put the sprinkler on some areas to make it even in the past, I know this because my dad was Track Manager there for a lot of years. The track can be patchy when left as it is when there has been a lot of rain due to the make of the ground below. This in some cases is due to the camber, but after heavy rain it can be due to the drainage or lack of in some cases.

So how do you know they did not do this to ensure an even track...its easy for CM to just simply knock things without having actual facts...his assumption does not make it correct.
