Well, put another way I haven't owned a Harness Horse for 50+ years however a baby trotter of ours went around at the Pukekohe Trials/workouts on Thursday. How much notice should we take out of what happens there, other than education? -
This is the second time in recent years that a meeting has been called off because of a hole in the track. The previous occasion the hole was around the 600m mark and this time about the 500. The track side road entrance runs adjacent to this area, and I am speculating here but could there be vandalism? Both of these issues have been on the Masterton race day -

Ask him you seem to know everything about everything I am sure he will fill you in....who are you at the moment Trojan CS or CM...you cant be Pogo or Zelda I kicked them to the curb after I knew they were you. -

Who said it was a rabbit hole??? You said that not anyone else....it was an old possible post hole...and you would need to ask the stewards why they did not mention it, and yes the jocks were keen to keep going. -
fudge doing a track inspection to hard, same club rolled dice last year with not watering and got away with it, guess they got snake eyes this time, have a look over last 5yrs to see how many times this venue has had problems, not poking stick at anybody but facts don't lie. -
Charlie mate, these reminisce sessions between you and Pure are a crackup, and pure gold 😆 you know I looked up that horse Wetagain and it's record makes for hardcase reading, for the fact it won a few yay, it's littered with L's, disq's, DF's, and Pup's 🤣 clearly a bloody headache horse for sure.... Also used by many old-time trainers for horses with tendon problems. Brian Mollet who owned Maud Ryall at Progressive farms on the Karaka used to do the same with her. -

If you didn't start stressing the horse as a late yearling early 2yr old then you are behind the eight ball catching up. It will take longer to go through the process. -

No hole mentioned in the stipe report . Following the running of this event, Riders’ representatives, Stewards and the Track Manager examined the area of the track where UNUSUAL NUGGET had blundered. This revealed a significant slip mark where the gelding had endeavoured to retain its footing after blundering. A meeting was convened with all riders and after deliberating, the decision was made by the Stewards to abandon the meeting due to safety concerns. -
I always found a lot of trotting was more beneficial to a youngster than pacework. Similarly walking up hills helped strengthen and stretch tendons. -
Surely if there was a hole that would be down to track maintenance? Would there not be a pre-meeting inspection of the track?

And Zak P is out injured... so what a great opportunty for a boosted TAB Jockeys Challenge !! Bowman to ride 3 ? Karis 3 or more Joey to ride 3 etc ?
