Okay - it has been shown on free to air over here in the past but that was then it was shared by the two specialist channels. Racing UK have both Meydan and Aintree so they will have a very busy schedule on that Saturday and iTV will only show Aintree. Hopefully you will see the Aintree coverage on early Sunday morning your time.

Couldn't believe the turn around from Bob Butt's young trotter at Addington after it's first start
-
Youtube probably best for live coverage from Meydan.

A quick postcript to the above - it seems the (arguably) two best jockeys riding currently will be thousands of miles apart early next month. Report in the Racing Post this morning states James MacDonald will be at Meydan where he will have a number of rides including CONTINUOUS for Coolmore (and presumably ROMANTIC WARRIOR) while Ryan Moore will head to Randwick and ride for Coolmore at the All Star Championship meeting. Hopefully they'll both be at Ascot in June. Ryan Moore to ride in Australia on Dubai World Cup night with James McDonald off to Meydan | Racing Post

And just a reminder, if you finished below Joan on the results table last Saturday you have been eliminated and no need to enter. The other 28 should all submit an entry this week. -

Comment copied across from a previous entry thread. Thanks for pointing out. Same comment was there last week as well but got through the spell check. -

Same format as last week. 1. Either pick two horses in each race listed below - you will have $10 each way on both and a $2 quinella; or if you'd prefer to pick just one horse in any (or all of the races) you can do that and you will have $20 each way on that one runner, but you will forego the quinella. 2. You will have two best bet races where your bet is doubled. They can be any two of the 12 races listed below. Posting deadline this week is 1.30pm This weeks 12 races are as follows - focus mostly on Ellerslie - a good card and good weather forecast (no cyclones in the neighbourhood) 1. Trentham R6 2. Trentham R7 3. Trentham R8 4. Trentham R9 5. Rosehill R1 6. Rosehill R3 7. Rosehill R5 8. Rosehill R7 9. Rosehill R8 10. Rosehill R9 11. Flemington R7 12. Flemington R8 Please enter horse numbers, not names and remember to nominate two best bet races, and some form of punctuation between your two numbers is very helpful - thanks. Same scratchings and abandoned races rules as last week. -
Actually Spike just remembered something . Do you know what happened to Bill's son Patrick Holmes ? He was a promising jockey so just wondered what happened to him

Anyway - no not blind in one eye but who is doing better? Te Akau are batting around their average - perhaps a smidgeon below but then they are spread a little thin at the moment setting up Cranbourne and they have no Imperatriz. Marsh, Pike, Latta, James, Gerard, Forsman, Myers all in the million dollar club aren't doing better. Some of those trainers buy high priced horses at the sales. Wexford is batting above their average this year but with more horses they aren't that far ahead. Big Red Sharrock, Patterson, Thurlow are having above average seasons. Thurlow exceptional but operates in a boutique niche market. Patterson's season is underpinned by Leica Lucy - giving him 6 out of his 9 black type races and over half of his stakes winnings. His strike rate is essentially the same as Te Akau's. Big Red has plundered New Plymouth.
