I will be in .
I was in a syndicate run by Scooby and trained by Peter,Even though horse went no good I enjoyed it. Peter kept us updated and informed and is a straight up guy. Will let you know very quickly if horse not up to it.And Scooby is great to deal with
I thought great run . Whenever a horse travels on a plane for hours to another country and can win first up shows how good they are . Remembering as well it was showery and the harder the track the better for her . As Ken mentioned she possibly could have won all of her starts if not for a couple of wet tracks
They should be banned that's sexual assault no matter how they look at it . Young girls in either code shouldn't have to worry about animals like these guys
I guess the name suppression is to protect the woman but not difficult for anyone to workout who it concerns - is HRNZ going to step in? Inserts Tui's ad
There was no "hurdle" for Blenheim as their 2 day meeting was perfectly placed a week before Riccarton's autumn carinval began. Floats from the north arrived and used Blenheim as a lead up, target, or if not good enough were back on the ferry heading home (unless a southern trainer snapped them up). Blenheim was an awesome event but those in power couldnt see it. What was more disappointing was the CJC who never gave them the support they deserved.
Ashburton have another day in the week before Easter, one would assume the same scenario there, Timaru have no racing from Dec 28 until June 8., Timaru have had a Xtra date earlier and I think Ashburton have 2 new ones this season.
We were discussing the calandar, with Awapuni and Hastings out, Otaki, Hawera, Waverley Woodville and Trentham have been carrying the load, it's actually been a good learning curve to the value of sharing the workload, irrespective of what some of the suits think I doubt any more galloping tracks will close, I'm still for Blenhiem getting 2 days back, after all the harness guys are using it now, if the harness guys don't mind the odd trip from Canterbury why wouldn't the galloping guys too ?

The win by Banks in the $250,000 Rushaway Stakes March 22 at Turfway Park came as no surprise to longtime breeder Beau Lane. Lane, who has been breeding horses for 60 years, is no stranger to raising good horses such as Jackie's Warrior and Farrell.View the full article
I know I do go on about this, but because it shows up incompetency on so many levels I thought I might as well mention it again.
I just had a look at the noms for Ashburton on Thursday. Because there are effectively only two favoured tracks in Canterbury, the rest have been closed down, or in the naughty boys corner like Timaru, the Ashburton track is virtually stuffed, or at least I assume it is because most races on Thursday can only start 10 or 12 horses.
Because there hasn't been a single maiden race in Canty for three weeks, they have noms of 30 for the maiden 1,600m which starts 10, 26 for the maiden 1,200 which starts 10, 23 for the maiden 1,600m which starts 12, and 22 for the rating 65 1,400 which starts 10. They will split the rating 65 and maiden 1,400m, if there are enough acceptors!. Based on nomination numbers this means 16 will miss out in the maiden 1,200m, 11 will miss out in the maiden 1,600m and 10 will miss out in the maiden 1,400m even after it has been split. Even the rating 65 will have ballots despite being split.
And remember a lot of these horses were eliminated or balloted at Wingatui a week earlier.
This follows on from the tiny fields in the Northern region over the weekend, and a small 7 race card coming up at Pukekohe.
I won't say any more, but as I said above, incompetence on so many levels.
