Decided to have a crack at the rescheduled meetings from Saturday.
A couple of heart attacks with the first couple of legs but managed to get back my kick plus a bit more from the weekend.
Hope you guys all got home safely.
My shout in Christchurch! 😎
Copied from Harnesslink: The barrier draw reveal for the Race by Betcha and TAB Trot will be live on Trackside (Sky 62) at 7.30pm on Tuesday.
Cheers Iraklis
The barrier "reveal" is at 7.30pm tonight on Trackside. It will have been done by then, but embargoed.
So not done live per se, but the NZB Kiwi, which was done live, was something of a messy embarrassment.
God knows how many will miss out on a start at Ashburton. Probably at least 35. Meanwhile everyone who wants a start gets one at Pukekohe. There does seem to be an imbalance.
The other question of course is why hold a meeting at a track that has a field capacity of 10 for most races when everyone knew there were going to be dozens of horses desperate for a start?
Incompetence is the only word I can think of that sums it up really.
Like the Brooklyn Bridge and Broadway, the Wood Memorial Stakes (G2) is intrinsically linked to New York, and of all the significant Kentucky Derby (G1) prep races, this is the one final test that every horseman wants to ace.View the full article
No problem Dougie boy .
An opinion can always be used as an argument against something .
As for the last part , it was your assessment , opinion , not based on fact because you didn't present any facts .
As ever Doug your illusion is that all you say is correct .
On a slightly different note its good to see Awapuni passed its first major test with flying colors...other than a little sand kickback the track rode perfectly...its a much needed resource so good to see its close to being back in action...
If it wasn’t April 1st …….
but this on Race X feed so might be true ….even Temu and Trentham don’t seem to gel as a pair

Very droll Bob. Amazing the response over one comment about the class of field that was beaten. We wonder why racing in NZ has gone stale - everyone seems to focus on tribalism and personalities. By the way an opinion is not an argument and in this case it was assessment based on fact.
