The dates for the rest of the year only go to the end of July which is a bit outdated as the season changed a year or 2 ago. I presume Manawatu will continue after winter but I am only guessing - even so Micky has probably won more at Addington than anyone else so far this season. I have looked at insurance but who would you take? Telfers breakup most of the time and apart from Tim their drivers are sub-standard and Dunns team have mostly reached their mark. Jones having a great trot and Purdon lurking but probably don't have the numbers.

Alarming signs as the trade war worsened U.S. stocks tumbled yesterday as Treasury bonds began to sell off again, oil prices dropped and the stocks of Big Tech companies like Apple and Nvidia fell. Together, the signs pointed to a souring mood as investors assessed the worsening trade war with China. President Trump clarified that he had raised tariffs on Chinese goods by a total of 145 percent as tensions between Beijing and Washington showed no signs of easing. E.U. officials announced that they would delay plans for retaliatory tariffs after Trump’s decision to hit pause on some of his new import taxes. The markets on Wednesday had cheered Trump’s decision to postpone many of his tariff plans for three months. “The president seems to have offset any relief it might have offered for the U.S. economy by simultaneously jacking up tariffs on China to 145 percent,” my colleague Ana Swanson, who covers trade, said. “I’ve seen some estimates saying that the impact of the most recent tariff structure is actually worse for consumers because most of the world’s cellphones, laptops, toys, video games, blankets and party decorations come from China,” she said. Many economists cautioned that the full repercussions from the trade war would not be felt for weeks.

Bet365 has enhanced odds for golf, and they also ban winning players without warning. Whilst I don't like the TAB and the product it provides, it's not all flowers and rainbows with offshore bookmakers. Sportsbet limits how much you can bet on certain sporting options, Bet365, as I said, bans players out of nowhere. -
Trump acknowledges “transition problems” after pausing some tariffs and US stocks tumble. Here’s what happened From CNN staff Foreign leaders and the US stock market have been reacting to President Donald Trump’s decision to pause “retaliatory” tariffs on dozens of countries, with the notable exception of China. Although Trump’s abrupt reversal yesterday came as a relief to many, investors and analysts have warned that the unpredictable, stop-start nature of his trade policy will likely dampen investment and could slow global economic growth. As for the 145% tariffs still in place on China, Beijing said it remains willing to negotiate with the US. Here’s what to know today: What Trump said: Stressing his good relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the US president expressed optimism that the two countries would eventually reach a deal. More generally, the president acknowledged some “transition problems” could be expected in the aftermath of his decision to pause some tariffs. Beijing’s response: A spokesperson for the Chinese Commerce Ministry said that the “door to talks is open, but dialogue must be conducted on the basis of mutual respect and equality.” Still, he reiterated that China will not back down if Trump chooses to further escalate. China has already imposed 84% retaliatory tariffs on US imports. Negotiating with other countries: Trump said today that “all countries are different” when it comes to negotiating tariffs, but he was treating the European Union “as one bloc.” National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett said the administration has set up a process for orderly tariff deals, with some “close to the finish line.” He said there are about 15 countries that have made “explicit” offers to the US. Reaction: The European Union announced it’s putting its retaliatory measures against the United States on hold for 90 days. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said Trump’s pause on some tariffs is “an important step towards stabilizing the global economy.” How the market responded: The Dow, after rising nearly 3,000 points yesterday, had a volatile day in the red with the blue-chip index falling 1,015 points, or 2.5%. The S&P 500 fell 3.46% and the Nasdaq Composite slid 4.31%. The stock market, fresh off its third-best day in modern history, is sinking back into reality: Although Trump paused most of his “reciprocal” tariffs, his other massive import taxes have already inflicted significant damage, and the economy won’t easily recover from the fallout.. Impact on Americans: Trump’s tariffs will cost the typical middle-class household $3,443 a year, according to research published by The Budget Lab at Yale. That figure factors in the 90-day pause and the 145% tariffs on China. Lower-income Americans will get hit harder by the tariffs as a share of their total income, according to the analysis.

100% agree. Carparking is an absolute shambles now that they are developing the area near the main entrance. They also need more visible signage to the new infield area.

I dont think this is breaking news. Its been debated here over the years, and is a big reason why I among others don't want to see a monopoly - it would mean the TAB has even less accountability for providing a fair market odd. Just look at the latest odds for the masters. Bet365 has a 20-40% premium on most selections.
