I'm happy that your multi won, but the reality for most punters is that their multis don't win. If you landed 2/3 winners, you would have wasted two "very confident" picks. Feel free to take multis including short-priced favourites if you're confident, especially if one unit on each won't return a profit if you go 2/3. However, if you have a runner paying decent odds in your multi, then it's a waste of potential value. Also - there is an option for you to back Treasurethe Moment into Vis Sistina. Then take a solid amount of profit and reinvest in Fangirl, whilst keeping some profit back. You deserve at least some value from picking the first two winners. -

I do take usually 3 horse multis once or twice a week but as a trixie. It can be a long time between drinks, but the 2/3s help keep my bank afloat. Only include horses that I also back individually because they are significant value in my estimation. -
Treasure The Moment @ 1.75 Via Sistena @ 2.00 Fangirl @ 1.85 This the multi I put on and the prices I got , return 6.47 , I put $50 on it for a return of $323.50 , a profit of $273 . I was very confident of all 3 winning but it's horse racing so nothing is a given so IMO the quality of horses and jockeys at those prices I thought a balanced bet of $50 was sufficient . I will add I only take these types of multis occasionally and only at the big Aus meetings where I can usually trust the quality of horse and jockey . Don't bet as much as I used to but when I do I look for horses that I think are over what I think they should be , usually in the $10-20 price range . Last Saturday backed 4 other horses in NZ , all at $10 or above and got one winner in Bella Luce so a nice profit overall . Without taking a multi on the Syd races I would not have had a bet as there was no value unless I just picked one and put a substantial amount on one of them , but not what I do now . So out of curiosity what strategy would you have used in backing the above 3 horses at those prices to get a decent return .

Well no... I'm advising to not take multis to enhance value. There is no value in taking a multi and getting 1/2 or 2/3 legs, but there is value placing all two or three options as single bets. Punters lose a lot of value when losing a multi that includes a winning selection. -
The point you missed was that you are arguing a betting strategy, which is fine. But the initial conversation was around value, in which absolutely none is lost or gained from multis, which was also a concept lost on many.

Bang on. Whenever I chase trifectas, quaddies, trebles, etc I do my dough. Quinella/% excta semi successful. Finding place value and having bets around 3/12 or 5/10 on a handful on a Saturday at particular venue - works. Whenever I plug my bets into the multi machine the odds never really stack up and as many have stated here...if I had 5 bets in a multi and I am wrong with one....dough done. Betting single bet options even if only 3 of 5 place your money is returned....only need one or two winners to get inot the black. -
You should open your eyes, Trump was Falsely inflating his assets to show that his net assets were far greater than was actually the case. He valued some of his assets many times greater than their true worth. Some may say "so what" but it is still fraud

Could you even give my old mate MY OBERON a chance ? Probably would need a softer surface over 1400m. He has little bits of Aussie form which give him a place chance - can't believe it was three years since his last run up here.

Belclare is back with Bjorn Baker and in Saturday's All Aged Stakes. It's quite a good field and includes Grail Seeker. Broadsiding at $6.50 with J Mac on looks a good bet, last start beat Aeliana.

Bloke please , try opening your eyes BANKS/LENDERS aren't fools they won't lend on any high profile asset that's valuation is unreliable , they do their home work . One judge thought he knows how to value Trumps property , he valued it very low so he could nail Trump , he failed now the James situation is different she seemed to have falsified records and the description of assets,
