"If the U.S. really wants to solve the problem, it should take seriously the rational voices from the international community and domestic sectors, and fully eliminate all unilateral tariff measures against China." The comments came after a Wall Street Journal report Wednesday said the Trump administration was considering slashing tariffs on Chinese imports in a bid to de-escalate tensions. BEIJING—President Trump’s apparent softening on tariffs against China in recent days has buoyed markets and raised hopes for a detente between the world’s two largest economies. For Chinese leaders, it only strengthens their resolve that Trump will eventually cave if they wait him out.

If you look at Waitak who ran in this race last year, he was unlucky and wasn't awful. Crocetti is a better horse than Waitak, well at least over the sprinting trip of 1200m anyway.
