I see Cameron Rodger and Lachlin Fitt are now a part of https://evergreenbloodstock.co.nz/ NEW ZEALAND'S FIRST NZTR APPROVED BREEDING FUND.
Minimum investment is $50000. Target investment fund is $5m to acquire 8-10 broodmares. Sounds like an interesting concept but out of reach for most of us. It does sound like you might be able to get a syndicate together if you had, for example, 10 people wanting to invest $5000 each.
The sport is almost 200 years old in New Zealand, and they're still learning. Life is certainly a minestrone, as sung by 10cc. Or is life like a Forrest Gump box of chocolates? You never know what you're going to get 🤣
Correct. Certainly the line taken by some of the widest runners coming from the rear made the bend appear sharp, but l suspect that was only because they'd taken the last half of the turn basically straight due to running wide and wider, then having to cut back sharply as they hit the actual straight. Those runners certainly weren't running the same even radius of the rail, true or false.
Believe it or not, I'm speechless. I've been out all day, sat down to check out the results, saw a good 4 at Awapuni and thought "that's great' Then I looked at the results. Like I said... I'm speechless.
He would of been even better in any other time except for one nemesis...loved him always tried his heart out and his trainer was a champion bloke too...
He was a top horse Blaird. Always tried and I doubt any of us would have begrudged him a win - one only - against the mighty WINX'.
I once saw his trainer, Pat, interviewed and he said not to feel sorry for him running so many seconds because he had won $7 million doing so.
Bless him!! (the horse, not the trainer!)
Not sure I see Broadsiding being worth $66 grand as a first time sire but what would I know?
