Your not wrong but my question was more around what did he bring to the position , is it because he's just a yes man or is he a true revolutionary with a V'Landys like ability to transform the industry . That blurb yesterday pretty much answers it .

I agree with Mr G Simons.4 or more meetings called off from slips with rail out 6m or more. eg Matamata Wanganui, Ellerslie and now Awapuni and the experts said this was the right thing to do. Hawkes bay, Taupo watering the nite before racing on a firm track, so dum. Why do I want to own a race horse? Cost $$ New Kids Breakers cost 20%+ more than Gr1 Trainers. And they dont work horses weekends but charge full rates. I give up.I Love my the horses But things not changing than inspire me to be involved any more. I can’t remember his name, others will be able to inform us, but I think he passed away after the deal was signed but before construction got underway. However had he lived it’s not certain the outcome would have been any different. I believe there was some problem with the steel from China they were trying to use not being up to standard but I don’t know who’s responsible for that. In hindsight if they had just supplied the land & taken a percentage of the sales they would have been much better off. -
They both achieved the desired results. McKenzie saw off the gambling routs at the time very quickly. JMO

What are the conditions. All in? What if KYR ( do you like the new moniker? It’s just like EV) doesn’t make the starting line up? If the bet has absolutely no strings attached then I am on for $100. Now I repeat, If KYR wins the Everest I owe you $100. If any other horse wins the Everest you owe me $200. There are no other conditions whatsoever in my bet other than you must publicly accept it here on RC. P.S. Gee I am loving following George and his idea of using initials to name horses. -
