Thought would start something different . My one was when I took a Pick 6 many years ago at Hastings . Pool was 250k . I had 4 horses going into the last leg . Finished second with Skulpture pay $4 for a place . Veep won it paid $6 . From memory I think 4 or 5 split it grrrrr . Was potentially looking at 100k or more . The TV remote wasn't well after that race . This one you older Harness guys can relate too . A mate of mine back in the late 70's took a double one night at Alex Park . Back then on the old tote board showed what the pay out would be . Well he took Hill High in first leg which won and paid over $100 . Second leg he had Yukon John smoking hot favourite . The double was showing $1500 which was enormous in those days . Anyway the mobile left and Yukon John galloped and hit the deck . Won't repeat what my mate said standing next to me lol -

Think the reality is four meetings at any given time is probably the best you can do, squeezing 5 creates a squeeze literally, but you will never please everyone all the time, at least they have a premier channel on some days which allows some separation. Sundays now have more meetings in NZ and they are all jammed onto 1 channel, some long intervals between races must make the day on course drag a bit. I have to say apart from a few minutes checking out the new Trackside website which I think is pretty good haven't watched for a week or two so was Guy Heveldt on yesterday, Entain are certainly splashing the cash on staff and one would imagine anyone on TVNZ ain't working for nothing so he must be on a good salary for Trackside or he wouldn't be there. -
Carried out over 3 days last week. The most important aspect i gleaned was the quality of the interviewing panel. All had very successful business and board careers. Lets hope the quality of candidates matched the interviewers experience/expertise and for a start knew the difference between governance and operational matters. Ya he was a real dude...Mark and Kevin were like polar opposites but the same in so many ways...and their new farm was awesome...hell painted alot of now banned creosote way back then...great memories of fun times...had some wild nights in at the pub in Matamata and still turned up maybe a little worse for wear to work the next morning. Kevin really loved his racing. I really didn't think I would like the breeding side after being a jockey but it taught me so much about young horses and how to manage them was the best advice Dick ever gave me...he arranged my job there. -

In that case Charlie , as saw some of these races in my early days competing in New Zealand , I'll go COUNTRY NEWS ? . a horse that Eddie Town and Maurice McKendry trained at Pukekohe. I think it won a few races around the time of Ken Sefonte's horse so might be the one you're after. -
My memory on the names is a bit fuzzy but pretty sure the winner was Hurricane Shannon . Think he beat Country something

Summer Haze was such an awesome horse. I recall the battles with her arch rival Yir Tiz, whom went on to be the dam of Mr Tiz, possibly the best sprinter we've had in NZ. What a great era of racing, wonderful horses and great memories. -

With Wuhan scratched The Whale only has 2 tips at todays Methven meeting R4 Flo Motion currently 3.40 and 1.50 fixed and R8 Jasprit Trouble at 4.60 and 1.85 Great fields as usual and a good days racing is on the cards

I spoke to RJ Friday morning and he reckoned he could see 40 individual winners on the black board currently in the Stables so I'm hoping he's on the money. -
So George NZ blah blah gives participants a spray about thread content and then does not post or even visit the site again. He's potentially either a nutcase or a plant from another site whose come to shit stir IMO.

Adam Sanderson on the Queensland horse SPEAK THE TRUTH caused all that . he was death seating outside Major Moth (the Nz Cup nomination of Grimsons )and decided to muck up the Grimson race plan of the 4 Grimson runners engaged in the race, by not letting Cam get Aardies Express outside the leader so they could control the pace. unfortunately this usually results in the 3 horses working hard too early , and consequently were the last 3 horses to finish in the race at the end. Was too strong a field to drive like that. Sanderson's drive was grilled by the stewards. He got lost in NZ driving that horse too earlier in year for 3 starts.. The winner was the Nullibor slot winner (and last years Miracle Mile winner) in CATCH A WAVE for Kate Gath. Perhaps the 2nd Best horses in Australia behind QLD champ LEAP TO FAME . The recent Auckland Cup winner was in there as well tonight. BETTER ECLIPSE running on well late on for 5th.
